Engineering

Our Engineering professionals support the design, development, analysis, and testing of our pressure transducers.

  • Design via Solidworks, AutoCAD, Altium
  • Document Control with full Customer configuration control
  • Mechanical and electrical stress analysis
  • Reliability and SPICE Analyses
  • Finite Element Analysis
  • Class 1 – Traceability System
  • Project Engineering/Management for all projects and special outside testing/analyses

In-House Testing

Our extensive in-house test capabilities allow for thorough qualification and acceptance testing.

  • Vibration shaker system
  • Drop shock system
  • Thermal, vacuum, and pressure systems
  • XRF materials analysis
  • Coordinate Measurement Machine for GDT verification
  • Dye pen testing

Manufacturing

Our production facility provides all necessary equipment and tooling needed to build our pressure transducers such as:

  • ISO9001/2015/AS9100D certification
  • Complete metrology department with NIST primary and transfer pressure standards
  • Production Machine Shop
  • Heat treating capabilities
  • Helium leak detection
  • Clean room and source inspection area

Recalibration

Verification of pressure transducer operation within designed specifications is recommended periodically based upon the application and frequency of use. Tavis offers calibration services based upon the pressure transducer design. Returns to Tavis for these services requires a Return Material Authorization (RMA) which includes the need for the serial number of the unit(s) being returned.

  • RMA generation
  • Recalibration of unit and case setup within internal systems
  • Incoming evaluation
  • Rework and test, if necessary
  • Cleaning
  • Shipment of unit back to customer
